We made it through the 1st quarter, and I am pleased to say things are looking up!

We had a huge improvement from the beginning of the quarter to the end.  As I always tell my colleagues, a great indicator of the economy changing, especially in the A&D community, is when a recruiter is busy, then hiring is up and companies are getting projects. 

I’m seeing a tremendous focus on ASIA, specifically China - 3 new US clients with China offices agressively hiring. I’m seeing a small surge in higher education projects and actually seeing builders starting to build again. 

In addition to being a recuiter, I also am a career coach and professional speaker, and this the season where I start traveling.  I’m happy to see that ASID and IIDA are focusing on their members with the tools the members need to get re-employed. The A&D industry will rise again and be greater then in the past.  Let us not forget the lessons we have learned and run our businesses smarter, more efficiently and more productively.
