I skied Stowe’s Mountain’s heralded Perry Merrill trail in the gorgeous sun recently. Hoar frost stuck intensely to the branches, frozen there from the last night’s sudden snow and drop in temperatures. The upper reaches of the mountain were a wintry wonderland and a true, albeit ironic, gift of Spring.
