The Market Mile: The empty space under the elevated Park Avenue Viaduct rail line, from 110th to 132nd Streets, Harlem, will be converted in a permanent outdoor market featuring specialty foods, arts and crafts produced on-site by local artisans. This design combines the latest in sustainable planning and architecture coupled with innovative workforce development. Part of the concept is to provide environmental education like saving energy, cooking healthy, separation of waste.
