Our commitment as architects is not only to be the trustees of our clients but also to share in responsibility for the design of our architectural environment. We are motivated and driven by enthusiasm for creative and execution planning and the construction process. Our on-going search for innovative solutions is underlined by a high regard for proven existing contexts. Key aspects of activity
3d-orga
This term stands for a special service, tailored to the owners and occupiers of office and commercial buildings. It complements the in-house organisation of our corporate clients, providing expert input on all aspects within their organisation that impact on spatial design and use. We prepare reviews of context and analyse the social and physical background, develop new workplace concepts, optimise existing ones, develop interior architecture, help to find the right location and conduct comparative economic feasibility studies. 3d-orga's holistic insight enables the optimisation not only of workplace quality and energy costs in both new and old buildings but also of equipment planning and interior design.
Corporate architecture
Architecture is more than a visual experience. Built-up space etermines the way we live, shapes our everyday routine and social communication. It is not merely an image that reflects ocial phenomena but creates the appropriate spatial conditions to implement innovative processes and influence our daily life. In this way, architecture conveys meaning and allows us to identify with content and design. Architecture is the key factor in corporate identity in both professional and private terms.
New Work
Structural change towards a service and communication based society gives rise to new forms of work expressed in the spatial organisation and flexibility of modern workplaces. Non-territorial workplaces, combined office concepts, think cells and open workshop ones are the building bricks for future office landscapes. Flexible layout allow us to adapt to tomorrow's world.
Energy
A deep concern in all our project work is to reduce the CO2 burden on our environment and energy costs. Dynamic simulation models enable us to optimise future energy consumption even before the plans are drawn, and to develop so-called intelligent buildings. These are complex, networked and adaptable systems that respond to the weather. The use of daylight control reduces the consumption of electricity for lighting, and at the same time increases the quality of the workplace. And not least the environment is protected by our green building concept and the use of renewable energies.

Jürgen Koch Dipl. Ing. architect
Koch Architects was founded by Jürgen Koch in Duesseldorf 1992. The partnership Deilmann Koch Architects and Urban Planners with Thomas Deilmann was established in 1999.
The comprehensive and personal advice and support provided to our clients covers the entire process, starting with the identification of needs, the search for suitable properties, CI consultancy, product development and architectural planning right through to complete interior design. We are committed to continuity of first-class service from drawing board to handover of the finished building to our client. All our designs are developed in constructive consultation with our clients and executed in sophisticated
works planning. Our services are provided by an interdisciplinary team. Depending on individual requirements, we network with highly qualified cooperation
partners, engineers and construction managers. The terms of reference and scope of work are discussed with the client
in detail before planning commences, and compiled from a range of service modules. During the concept phase, we always identify more than one potential solution and keep the design process transparent and comprehensible.
Jürgen Koch is actively involved at the Technical University of
Dortmund as associate lecturer for the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering, specialising in practical teaching. Jürgen Koch has successfully initiated special courses reflecting the interdisciplinary planning process as a role play during the last semesters, and these have met with great interest among students. The first courses are also being organised with Semyung University (Seoul/
South Korea). We are constantly exploring potential innovative designs and technologies for the benefit of our clients as well as the social and natural environment. An example is our objective to reduce CO2 emissions and energy consumption in our projects.
