At UPworld, your privacy is our chief concern. We understand that you entrust us with your private information to help us match you with other professionals who can meet your needs. In exchange for your trust, you have our commitment that we will treat your information with respect and protect your privacy. Under no circumstances will UPworld sell or share any personal information about you to or with any person or organization except as authorized by you, or as may be required by law or court order. 1. Who We Are. UPworld is an online networking and project management application that connects real estate, design, and building professionals to each other and to new building opportunities worldwide. UPworld uses Internet-based technology to simplify and organize the relationships and information shared between various real estate, design, and building professionals.

2. Information We Collect. There are several areas on UPworld where you may be asked to enter both personal and non-personal information. Some of the information you supply to us may be optional. We DO NOT sell or share any personal information about you, optional or required, to or with any person or organization except as authorized by you, or as may be required by law or court order.

• Registration. In order to become an UPworld user, you must first create an account on the website. To create an account you are required to provide the following contact information: name, email address, country, current industry, and choose a password.
• Profile Information. Once a user, you may provide additional information in the My Profile section, giving your contact information and describing your skills, professional experiences, and networking objectives. Providing additional information beyond what is required at registration is entirely optional, but enables you to better identify yourself and find new opportunities on UPworld. Contact information can only be viewed by other UPworld users in your network. We discourage users from placing email addresses or other contact information in their summary statement, headline, or other undesignated fields.
• Information about your Contacts. In order to invite others to connect with you directly on UPworld, you will enter their names and email addresses. This information will be used by UPworld to send your invitation including a message that you write. The names and email addresses of people that you invite will be used only to send your invitation and reminders.
• Information we receive from users about online Projects created on the website. In order for UPworld to help manage an online Projects, relevant building and project information will need to be collected. This includes, but is not limited to, project location, status, addresses, start and end dates, descriptions, documents, and images, as well as any other information that a user may want to provide or upload.
• Information we receive from users about Events or Articles. UPworld enables users to enter Events, including information such as event location, industries, dates, company sponsor, description, documents, and images, as well as any other information that a user may want to provide or upload. UPworld also enables users to submit Articles, including information such as article location, industries, author, description, documents, and images, as well as any other information that a user may want to provide or upload.
• Information we receive from users on Postings forms. When users come to UPworld to post a listing for jobs, partnerships, professional services, property, and RFPs/Bids, they will need to provide information such as name, industries, location, company, description, documents, and images, as well as any other information that a user may want to provide or upload.
• Technical Information we collect. In order for us to ensure that we are providing the best possible experience on the UPworld website, we collect and track certain user information. When you visit the UPworld website, our Web server sends a cookie to your computer. This cookie merely stores a limited amount of information about your site visit. The cookie merely tracks aggregate information on how our site is being used, including session counts, navigation patterns, pages visited, etc. These cookies, however, do not store any personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, phone number, etc. as you browse the site. These cookies cannot be related to you as an individual unless you join UPworld. When you join UPworld, we store your cookie identification in our system. If you request that we remember you, we use this cookie to allow our site to recognize you when you return. The Help portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether. However, cookies allow you to take full advantage of some of UPworld's features, and we recommend that you leave them turned on. Due to the communications standards on the Internet, when you visit the UPworld website we automatically receive the URL of the site from which you came and the site to which you are going when you leave UPworld. We also receive the Internet protocol (IP) address of your computer (or the proxy server you use to access the World Wide Web), your computer operating system and the type of web browser you are using, as well as the name of your ISP. This information is used to analyze overall trends to help us improve the UPworld service, but is not linked to personally identifiable information in any way.
• Information from Web Logs. Like most websites, UPworld also utilizes Web Logs to track aggregate information about how our site is being used. Web Logs track anonymous user information, including the number of visitors to our site, operating systems, Internet Provider addresses (if publicly available), and browser type. Unlike cookies, Web Logs are maintained only on UPworld servers and do not store or place anything on the user's computer.
• Information from Advertising. If you come to the UPworld website from an online banner ad, an anonymous identification number may be passed to our site. This information cannot be used to gather any personally identifiable information about you. It will only allow us to track the overall effectiveness of our online advertising campaigns.
• Information from Surveys. You may complete a survey from UPworld online. Participation in surveys is completely voluntary and it is your choice whether or not you wish to disclose your personal information to us. Every survey presented to you will include specific instructions regarding how your information may be shared. By clicking the "Submit" button at the end of the survey, you authorize UPworld to share your data in the manner outlined on the survey.
• Information from the "Contact" section of the UPworld website. You may contact UPworld through the "Contact" feature. Participation in this area is completely voluntary and it is your choice whether or not you wish to disclose your personal information to us. Moreover, to help us make e-mails more useful and interesting, we often receive a confirmation when you open e-mail from UPworld.com if your computer supports such capabilities. If you do not want to receive e-mail or other mail from us, please adjust your account preferences.

3. How your information is used and shared. We use the information provided by members to facilitate networking opportunities and simplify the exchange of information and relationships. When authorized, user profile and contact information will be shared with other members. We may also send your information to other third parties relevant to your transactions. The information you choose to provide on the site is used to help you describe yourself to other users. In addition, UPworld collects certain types of information in order to operate and improve our service to you and other users. UPworld is the sole owner of the information collected on this site.

• UPworld Communications. UPworld will communicate with you through email and notices posted on the website. These include a series of welcome emails which help inform new users about various features of the service. Please be aware that you will always receive certain emails from UPworld related to the proper functioning of your account, such as email notices when other users want to contact you or send you a business opportunity. UPworld may send you promotional information unless you have opted out of receiving such information. If you do not wish to receive any of these offers, please contact us and request to be removed from our special offer mailing list.
• Customized Content. Information you provide at registration or in My Profile is also used to customize your experience on the website. For example, when you login to your account we will display the screen names of new users who have recently joined your network.
• Communications between Users. Many emails you initiate through UPworld, an invitation sent to a non-user for instance, will list your email address and name in the header of the message. Emails you initiate may also provide aggregate information about your network (for instance how many people are in your network), but will never list the people to whom you are directly connected. Other communications that you initiate through the UPworld website, like a request for contact, will list your name as the initiator but will not include your personal contact information. Your contact information will only be shared with another user if both of you have indicated that you would like to establish contact with each other.
• Sharing Information with Third Parties. UPworld takes the privacy of our users very seriously. We will never sell, rent, or otherwise provide your personally identifiable information to any third parties for marketing purposes. We will only share your information with third parties to carry out your instructions and to provide specific services. UPworld uses various third party processors for financial transactions. Your financial information may be transferred to these third party processors, but will remain confidential and will not be used for any means other than to execute the financial transaction.
• Sharing Information for the Protection of UPworld and Others. We release account and other personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce or apply our Terms of Use and other agreements, and/or protect the rights, property, or safety of UPworld, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction. Obviously, however, this does not include selling, renting, sharing, or otherwise disclosing personally identifiable information from customers for commercial purposes in violation of the commitments set forth in this Privacy Policy.

4. Altering Information You Submit Through the UPworld website. UPworld puts you in control of your information. You'll find our site easy to navigate to find all the information you need to control the information that you have provided.

• Changing your Information. You may be able to review and change all information stored within UPworld, unless processes or functions restrict the altering of data through UPworld online. If you are unable to complete this online, you may click here to contact us for assistance.
• Deleting your Information. Federal and state regulations may require that we store completed registrations for a certain period of time. In order to comply with these regulations, we may not be able to delete information from our databases. However, if you want to request that your account be closed and made inaccessible to other members, you may click here to contact us.

5. Security of Personal Information and Communication. The UPworld website has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input. We reveal only the last four digits of your credit card numbers or the last four digits of your bank account number when confirming a transaction. Of course, we transmit the entire credit card number or bank account number to the appropriate processing company during the transaction processing. It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer.

6. Children. UPworld does not sell services for purchase by children. If you are under 18, you may use UPworld's services only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

7. Conditions of Use, Notices, and Revisions. If you choose to visit the UPworld site, your visit and any dispute over privacy is subject to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use, including limitations on damages, arbitration of disputes, and application of the law of the state of New York. If you have any concern about privacy at UPworld, please contact us with a thorough description, and we will try to resolve it. Our business changes constantly, and our Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use will change also. We may email periodic reminders of our notices and conditions, unless you have instructed us not to, but you should check our website frequently to see recent changes. If we make a change to our Privacy Policy in the future that will affect how we treat your information, we will notify you of the change.
