Experience Level

Expertise: My name is Terry Cline and I have hundreds of satisfied residential and business clients who I have helped create personal and business environments that truly support their goals for self, family, business and the planet; using existing spaces and furnishings, renovations, additions and new construction.

As a Registered Architect with over 25 years of professional experience, I specialize in SpaceTherapy® Consulting/Coaching for Home and Office and Green Residential Design.

Skills: I have also created and implemented numerous experiential public presentations on affordable design, and have been an expert consultant for print and television media, including a television program detailing the beneficial effects of well-designed personal environments.

My approach requires a deeper look at how people interact with and are informed by the built environment. Implementing this psycho/social approach to design, my passion is in helping people (regardless of income bracket, project style or budget), live more peacefully, more productively, and in better harmony with self, each other, and the planet by dwelling in spaces that restore, renew, and revitalize their lives.

Teacher.

“This is an incredible place to live and you have designed for us a gorgeous home. Most of the lake residents we speak with think its the nicest one on the lake.” Home Owner.

“Terry, who has been our architect on a long-term home renovation, did a mid-project “Personal Environment Diagnostics & Healing Prescriptions” consultation, so that we could live more comfortably and sanely during the renovation. The result of this two-hour consult has been many hours of enjoyable use out of space we had been avoiding. I was amazed! Even more so because it was done entirely with materials we already owned that we just hadn’t seen the possibilities for their use.” Home Owner.

“Excellent! A presentation that anyone from left brained pragmatics to right-brained visionaries will both benefit from and enjoy.” Talk Attendee.

”This was quite an “eye-opening” experience for all of us and especially the patient, and served to significantly raise our awareness of the impact of the built/arranged physical environment on our experience.” Mental Health Provider.

”Your approach continually facilitated trust, self-esteem, gentle confrontation, and integrity….. A climate was created which facilitated much insight and practical application.” Apartment Renters.

”The intent of this letter is to describe our positive experience with Terry Cline in his role as a Personal Environment Life Coach and to personally recommend him to others who are considering working with him.” Corporate President.

Description:"The BAC is in a lively exchange with the dynamic city of Boston, with its architecture, with practitioners and with faculty. We offer professionally accredited Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Architecture degree programs that engage students in design practice and academic study concurrently. Students draw upon their academic studies and their daily workplace or community project learning as they develop their understanding and abilities in writing, drawing, speaking and making. Students think critically about sustainable design, about social and cultural contexts, and about their own developing identity as architects.

Through the experience of practice, students work collaboratively to engage and transform communities. Students learn how to decipher people, places, and ecologies to create responsive architecture. The BAC has been engaged in architectural education since 1889."

GOALS AND INTERESTS

Career Goals: The future of residential architecture depends on ‘starchitects’ climbing down from their ivory design towers and transcending ‘starchitecture-‐for-‐only-‐the-‐rich’ by making available to everyone the ‘emotional functional’ living experience.

If our profession cannot provide the essence of good architecture through the use of existing spaces and furnishings we’ll never be able to do so with renovations, additions and new construction.

My career goal is to walk my talk !!

Personal Interests: yoga, healthy food, meditation, spiritual development... and more'white space' in my life.
